John, this is a particularly interesting development to watch. I’ve received probably 200 or 300 books in the past few years from publishers and authors who want me to say something about their books. Sometimes I do (maybe 10% of the time) when I really like it. But I sometimes fail to say “I got this book for free”.

On the other hand, I have not accepted a big item such as a camera. I’m sure in that case, I would either decline the offer or be very careful to disclose fully what the arrangement was.

This is what happens when you lose your position as #1. It doesn’t take long for people to start envisioning a world without you. GM started on the road to irrelevant years ago by focusing internally rather than on the market – missing all major shifts and becoming also-ran. Obama’s team is telling everyone (auto and banking) that if you can’t prove you know where the market is heading and demonstrate you can get back in front, then there’s little reason to support you. The bonus payout excesses at AIG are just the tip of the iceberg of what is happening with the other Wall Street bailouts including Bank of America. Working productive Americans are bailing out the same crooks that destroyed our economy along with 45% of the wealth in the world and now the American taxpayers and our children will be forced to live a far lower standard of living with reduced prosperity and opportunities due to this but only we pay the price.

Washington has bailed out the banks, Wall Street & their Washington special interests and much of the cost is added to the national debt to by paid by this and future generations while real estate and investments continue to fall. Find out what a growing repudiate the debt movement could mean for treasuries, the dollar, gold and the stock market and how this is a better alternative than Washington’s plans to monetize the debt in future years and tax and destroy our remaining wealth by depreciating the dollar.

Life being created, harvested, and then destroyed to save other life. Probably only the lives of the wealthy, who can afford it. It all turns my stomache. At the very least the American people should get to vote on it.

No death penalty needed in the Casey Anthony case, at least according to Casey’s attorneys. They have seen all the evidence against her and they imply there is not a case against her for any type of murder. So, says an additional attorney for Casey’s case team:

I think her worst punishment would be life in prison with out any chance of parole.!!!!Death Penalty is to easy..She needs to live every day til the day she dies so she is reminded WHY she is in prison..Casey loved her freedom to much..This will eventually take its toll on her in the big house..Right now jail is like a playground,compared to where she is going……
